First visit to the gynecologist?

We recommend having your first gynecologist visit between ages 12 and 15, around the time of your first menstruation (menarche). 🌹

During this visit, we'll evaluate your menstrual cycles, explain what's normal in this process, and provide education about sexual health and contraceptive methods.

This is a great time to build a trusting relationship with your chosen gynecologist. 🙂

Remember

Visiting the gynecologist doesn't always mean having a physical examination or pelvic exam. Most visits at this stage of life involve a consultation where we address your questions, have a conversation, and provide education.
