Our tips for intimate care.
The vulva corresponds to our external genitals, those that we can touch and see (and which are not the incorrectly named vagina).
Use gynecologically tested intimate soaps with an acidic pH (3.5 - 4.2) and without perfume. Altering the vulvovaginal pH can lead to pathological discharge and decrease local immunity.
Please don't use a bidet. It is one of the main factors that alter our vulvovaginal flora.
Excessive hygiene can also cause local alterations.
During menstruation, using a menstrual cup is preferred, as there is evidence that its material doesn't affect vaginal pH as much.
When buying underwear, we recommend choosing white cotton. Save that spectacular underwear for special occasions.
Free yourself! Sleep without underwear. Our intimate area also needs to be free and get some air.
Say YES to hair. It's better not to remove it, as pubic hair is a warrior that protects our vulva. The shape of our external genitals and hair are anatomical barriers that prevent local infections.
Summer, beach, pool... apply protective cream to your vulva to prevent direct contact with chlorine or salt water.
