Menopause

New stages can present new challenges. Do you have questions or concerns related to menopause? Our team is available to listen and help you through this transition.

During menopause, hormonal changes occur.
The production of estrogen and progesterone gradually decreases before stopping completely. Some women may experience mild discomfort, while others may have severe symptoms.

MENOPAUSE is the permanent cessation of menstrual cycles, and it is diagnosed after one year without them.
The previous years, a transition period called PERIMENOPAUSE, are mainly characterized by menstrual cycle alterations.
From this point, including years after menopause, women can experience MENOPAUSAL SYNDROME which reflects an estrogen deficiency, and manifests as:

Hot flashes.

Menstrual disorders.

Skin and vaginal dryness.

Lower genital infections.

Decreased sexual desire.

Incontinence, urinary infections.

Osteoporosis.

Metabolic and lipid alterations.

It's IMPORTANT to understand that, although these symptoms are expected, they are TREATABLE in most cases, allowing you to go through this period with freedom and joy, instead of "suffering" or "torture" as many of our patients express.

If you are in PERIMENOPAUSE / POST MENOPAUSE and identify with any of these symptoms, don't hesitate to consult!
